Elizabeth City Pasquotank Public Schools
Preparing Globally Competitive Citizens
Elizabeth City....Pasquotank County is a beautiful community in northeastern North Carolina located along the Pasquotank River. Elizabeth City is known as the "Harbor of Hospitality" to those far and near. Pasquotank County has approximately 40,000 residents with nearly half living within the city of Elizabeth City.
Elizabeth City is located just one hour from the Outer Banks of North Carolina as well as one hour from Virginia Beach, Virginia. We have a charming historical district and many community events which provide excellent opportunities for families to enjoy. We are a Coast Guard City and extremely proud of our CG Base-Elizabeth City and those that travel to us from so many different locations to serve.
ECPPS has thirteen schools .... seven elementary, two middle, three high and one alternative school. We opened our newest high school, Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Early College on August 7, 2017. We average 5800 students and employ over 800 staff members. We have a seven-member Board of Education that works hard to ensure our school district is meeting the needs of students, exceeding expectations and "preparing globally competitive citizens."
