Assistant Professor, Physical Therapy Assistant Program (224 Day)
This is an instructional position that does clinical coordination for the Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
Responsibilities include:
- Teach courses in the Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Advise students.
- Review PTA courses in areas of syllabi, lesson plans, tests, course offerings and implement needed improvements.
- Maintain accreditation processes of the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
- Keep informed of changes affecting programs as mandated by accrediting agency.
- Assist in curriculum reviews.
- Maintain communication with health care agencies.
- Promote positive relationships.
- Conduct student follow up surveys.
Requirements include:
- A physical therapist with a minimum of a Master's degree who holds a current license to practice in Florida.
- A minimum of five years (or equivalent), full time, post-licensure experience that includes a minimum of three years (or equivalent) of full-time clinical experience.
- Experience in teaching, administration (clinical and/or educational), fiscal management, and/or curriculum development.
- Experience in education theory and methodology, instructional design, student evaluation and outcome assessment, including the equivalent of 9 academic credits of coursework in educational foundations.
SALARY: Depends on Qualifications
