Director of Student Activities
The Director of Student Activities reports to the Dean of Student Services. The Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of all Student Activities at Lamar State College Port Arthur. This position requires schedule flexibility which may include weekend and evening hours. Develop comprehensive student activities and educational programming for students including, but not limited to, social programming, movies, mental health, sexual assault and violence prevention, alcohol and other drugs, diversity/cultural awareness celebrations. Serve as member and/or chair of various campus committees. Also handles student discipline and assists with Title IX investigations. Initiate review and adjudicate campus discipline and investigate Title IX cases as assigned. Graduate of an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in a related field. Requires three to five years’ experience on jobs leading to this position, or similar jobs. Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Texas driver’s license.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
