A Degree from an accredited four-year college with a major in Social Work, or a closely related field is required. Minnesota Merit System certification is necessary. Salary range is $27.37 to $37.13 depending on experience. 

The purpose of this position is to provide services to families with children. This includes provision and coordination of children’s and adult mental health services, support services, supervising out-of-home placements, general case management, and preventive services. Position involves working in coordination with other agencies and extended families to provide safety, support, and stability. Position may also include assessing or investigating reports of child maltreatment, implementing child abuse or neglect plans, on a backup basis. Position may be to provide all services necessary for Marshall County Social Services. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in social work, psychology, sociology or closely related field or
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in any field and one (1) year of experience as a social worker in a public or private social services agency.
  • You may apply before graduating, but no more than 60 days prior to receiving your Bachelor's Degree.
