Media Center Paraprofessional
Performs intermediate administrative support work performing day-to-day tasks in the Media Center, and related work as apparent or assigned. Contracted for 188 school year days.
General Definition of Work
Performs intermediate administrative support work performing day-to-day tasks in the Media Center, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Media Center Teacher, Middle School, and High School Principal.

Assists students with book selection and navigation of the media center as well as software;.
Checks books in and out of the Media Center; performs book preservation and repair; makes spine labels; shelves books.
Dusts and cleans shelves, tables and computers.
Supervises students during emergency response procedures.
Assists Media Teacher and classroom teachers with classes and maintaining bulletin boards; Answers phones, routes messages.
Assists with book fairs.
Prepares new books and shelves (covering, labeling, stamping).
Checks in all materials from vendors.
Assists students with computer and printer problems/questions.
Take attendance each hour if needed.
Creates POS to order books and supplies.
Works with book vendors to order books.
Other duties as assigned.
Open until filled. Start: August 2022.
