Teacher Aide

The Laurens Central School District is currently accepting applications for a full-time Teacher Aide for the 23-24 school year. The candidate should be able to work with students of all ages and ability levels. Experience preferred. Salary: $18,369. As a Teacher Aide, you will play a crucial support role in educational settings, assisting teachers in creating a productive and nurturing learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Classroom Support: Assist the teacher in organizing and preparing instructional materials, maintaining a clean and orderly classroom, and setting up equipment for lessons.

Student Assistance: Work with individual students or small groups to provide extra help, monitor behavior, and facilitate their engagement in classroom activities.

Special Needs Support: Provide support to students with special needs, following individualized education plans (IEPs), and adapting activities as necessary.

Administrative Tasks: Help with record-keeping, grading, and other administrative duties as required.

Safety and Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of students during class transitions, on field trips, and in emergencies.

Communication: Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and school staff regarding student progress and needs.
