Middle School English Teacher

The Peck School, a coed, K-8, independent school in Morristown, NJ, seeks a Middle School Grade English Teacher for the coming year.  As part of our humanities program, this individual will continue the development of a curriculum driven by essential questions and grounded in the goal of developing strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.  The teacher will guide students through the writing process, providing support through verbal and written feedback. Through argument, analysis, creative expression, and reflection, students build a broad foundation to engage with their world, communicating with clarity and perspective.  A strong interest in curriculum design and the ability to orchestrate student-centered class discussions are a necessity.  Additional opportunities for this position include coaching and advisory.
