Keyboard Specialist - High School Student
Services Office: 12-Month Position (Must be able to pass Otsego County Civil Service Keyboard Specialist Exam)
The Keyboard Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks with a focus on data entry and document preparation. This role requires accurate and efficient typing to prepare correspondence, reports, and other office documents. The Keyboard Specialist will maintain records, input data into various computer systems, and ensure the proper formatting of documents. In addition to data entry, the role includes filing, answering phones, and assisting with office organization. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in typing, typically at a minimum of 50 words per minute, are essential. The Keyboard Specialist will also support other office staff by handling routine administrative duties and assisting with special projects as needed.
Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and typing speed of 50+ words per minute. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Previous clerical or administrative experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
