Assistant Superintendent for Operations and Finance
The Watertown City School District is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for Operations and Finance (or commensurate Civil Service title). Duties include providing oversight and leadership in all financial areas including cash management, purchasing, treasurer, accounting, financial statements, insurance claims, state aid reports, state aid claims, school budget, capital projects, financial audits, and real estate transactions. Duties also include providing operational oversight of business office staff, food service operations, transportation, buildings and grounds, and Information Technology departments and other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
Qualifications: New York State administrative certification. (School District Administrator or School District Business Leader) is required with at least five years of experience in education (school business management preferred). Salary range is $120,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience.
